Oh Paypal does protect all the payment information. It always has. I've never actually had a security problem. I am concerned, though, that I might double charge or lose charges somehow if I try live testing new cart with credit cards and also running credit card charges on the old cart system. I have to vet the new cart with test card codes and my own cards before I'm willing to let it go live. So to be on the safe and certainly less confusing side, I will forgo taking credit cards except via PayPal for a few more days. I'll certainly still use PayPal. I think it's super and really prefer it. But it is confusing to people who want to use a credit card for payment but don't want to have a PayPal account, and it's obviously not right for the folks who dislike PayPal for whatever reason. And of course I'll keep taking checks and money orders too.

As I'm working on the same thing, Id ask, I thought that paypal did protect most of the information in their cart? Will you still be using them but just have more protection for the pre-paypal side of things?

It is better to do Reiki daily. I just often forget to do it for me personally even though I do it for others. I shall remember that I deserve it too :)

The value of self reiki is partially in the discipline to practice every day. I too become lax, but my life is better when I do my daily Reiki practice.

Hi Robyn,

How is the adoption going. Any luck yet? Word of mouth can be so powerful sometimes. I hope this sweet baby finds a permanent place to live out her years... of which there are probably plenty left!

Thank you for Blogging the Change. We're so glad you took part.

It must be the right time for these thoughts, Bonnie. LOL I agree -- perfection hinders a lot of quests, for health and other things.

I read somewhere that perfection should be like a star guiding a ship on the sea -- something always steered toward but never touched.

So we can't touch perfection? What of it? We can still do awesome things.

Excellent post Robyn! I think that's what I'm always trying to convey in my health related website--that we can't be perfect. I think the perfection thing hinders a lot of folks in their quest for health. We think that we have to keep to a diet 100% or it won't work. I love the sites that now remind us that 80% or 90% is good enough--that we will be healthier or loose weight with these changes. I love that there are those saying make the changes you can and stick to them and someday worry about the others. You can't do it all (Hey! I just wrote a post on that!)
