Some learning experiences are more fun than others, but everything has the potential to teach us something. This week I’ve been having what the doctors think is a gall bladder attack. Definitely not fun. But I’m determined to get something positive out of it. So I did some research on what crystals are helpful for gall bladder. I figured I’d share the info I found so that anyone having gall bladder problems could find it.  And a very not fun experience is turned into a learning experience and something to share. I call that a WIN!

Crystals that are traditionally good for gall bladder problems are: Amber, Carnelian, Chalcedony, Citrine, Danburite, Gaspeite, Jade, Jasper, and Red Jasper.  There are probably others, but that’s a good start!  I found it pretty interesting as a group because in the last two weeks I’ve been crazed for carnelian and citrine and used them in quite a few pieces of jewelry, which I thought was a little odd and unusual. I wonder if I was intuiting what I needed there. Regardless, it’s good to know more about stones.

And I think today I will make myself a gall bladder charm. :)

I’ve just gotten up a new Comfort Beads Bracelet: Elements! It has stones for the 4 traditional Elements Fire, Air, Earth, Water plus the 5th Element Akasha/Spirit.

I also have other new jewelry that I’ve made up on the site as of now. There’s one with a natural Aquamarine crystals, one with Larimar and Herkimer “Diamond” and more.

Lots of pretty colors! I hope you like them!

Michele DoucetteMy friend Michele Doucette, who runs Portals of Spirit has had a book published this summer! I’d meant to mention it earlier, but  time just skeedaddled away from me too fast. But I’m mentioning it now at least :) Her book is  A Travel in Time to Grand Pré

Here’s a review by another author: A Travel in Time to Grand Pré is a fascinating read by author Michele Doucette.  The reader will be captivated by her cleverness to create this beautiful story of love and Acadian history, interwoven with spiritual messages thrown in to enhance the delectable journey of time travel.  With an ability to weave a dynamic storyline that is clearly apparent in this book, I am looking forward to reading the sequel. — Bettye Johnson, author of The Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls and Mary Magdalene, Her Story

I think you’ll have fun if you drop in on Michele at her site and take a peek at her book too.

QUESTION: “I am hoving a problem with unwanted burglaries and attempted breakins.  I live in an area where it has changed its vibration, more negative, in the last 18 months.  I generally have been using Sandelwood, white sage and Nag Champra insense in the house to clear negative energy but am still attracting the negative energy from without.I am looking at crystals to put around the front of the house to set up to reflect - deflect - STOP any negative force from entering. I have increased security to a point where nothing else can be done in this area and still they come. Hoping you can give me some help and or suggestions.”

MY ANSWER: “That sounds awful!  What you’re doing is good, but apparently not enough.  My thoughts: Schorl (black tourmaline), Quartz, and Salt

That’s exactly what I use for protection for my home and *knocks on wood* haha it seems to be working.  And ruby, which is good too, though of course a good bit more expensive.

On all 4 corners of the property/house outside, put a chunk of schorl, a quartz crystal pointing outward and behind them a small pile of coarse sea salt or kosher salt.  Put them down one at a time walking clockwise from the front returning to the front. You can bury them in the ground if you wish, or leave them settled on top of the ground.  Inside, so the same with the four corners inside.  I’d also hang a piece of schorl and a piece of quartz on the inside of the door in a pouch or pendant or something like that.  And continue to smudge the house with the incense regularly as needed.

Of course, I can make charms for you, but this is something you can do on your own.”

QUESTION:  “She and her husband currently live with her parents in her parents house. They (her and her husband) are in the process of building their own house and as soon as it is finished, they are going to all be moving into the new house. The person having the most trouble with this move is her mother. She (the daughter) doesn’t know if she (her mom) is upset over the move or the fact that it will no longer be her (her mom’s) own home and she (the mom) doesn’t want to be a burden to her daughter.”
“I have looked up as many of the “problems” that I could think of and there was nothing that we could think was the source of the problem and no stone that I could recommend that would fit this situation. Can you think of something that we can recommend that would ‘ease the feelings of being a burden’?”

MY ANSWER:  The first thing that occurred to me is to provide something to help with the solar plexus chakra. A sense of losing one’s independence and personal power could be what’s bothering the mother. So citrine or yellow amber or any of the yellow stones would be a good choice for that. One doesn’t feel like a burden when one knows they have their own power and usefulness, regardless of the situation. In the event it’s more a sense of feeling uprooted or in addition, root chakra stones like garnet or hematite could be helpful.

Additionally, I’d like to say here that solar plexus and root chakra stones could be helpful whenever one is moving from an independent living situation to a group living situation.
