New Crystals!

Metaphysical Salt?

Yes, salt! Salt has many excellent metaphysical energies.  Somehow I’ve managed to not write anything up about it until today.  Tsk tsk to me.  But I’ve corrected that now!  You can find metaphysical and magical properties lore of salt — including halite, sea salt and others — here.

I’ve also updated metaphysical properties of stones lore in these sections: A, B, and S.  PLUS I’ve updated the Stones by Use / Purpose page.  Woo hoo! On a roll.

Hiya!

I’m not moving fast yet, but I’ve had my knee surgery and I’m back! It’s all good, and I’m healing, and I thank you all so much. I’m sure all the good wishes, healing energy and prayers helped immensely.

begin PT plug / Actually, for any of you who are considering physical therapy, I HIGHLY recommend it. When I started PT 10 days after my surgery I was still having bad pain and gimping around like crazy. ONE session with the PT ultrasound and exercises and the pain dropped by at least half and I could move a lot better. Days later, I can actually drive my car again without worrying my knee will hang up or give out when I hit the brakes! After almost 5 months! Seriously, I very highly recommend PT. It’s far and beyond worth any pain it causes because it helps so much. / end PT plug

I’m just happy to be healing! Woo hoo!

Speaking of Richmond, my mailing address is changing to Henrico instead of Richmond. I thought I’d mention it in case you notice it on anything. I haven’t moved, but yes, I am actually located in the County of Henrico just outside Richmond. The County powers that be decided we need our own mailing address to sort tax issues and voila! I did not move anything but anything moved around me. hehe Voi-HMPH I sometimes think. Fortunately though, both Richmond and Henrico will work for the foreseeable future.

Tangled chains?

This is a tip I got from friends here in town about how to keep chains untangled.

Use a straw!

Gosh, that sounds too easy.

Start with a straw
Thanks to Starbuck’s for providing this straw I used to demonstrate.

Start with a straw. Unwrap it if needed.

Chain through straw

Then run your chain through the straw and clasp the chain.

Now your chain won’t tangle easily, even if you need to pack them to carry traveling.  No more having to untangle chains. Yay!
