This pendant was inspired by J.R.R. Tolkein's Lord of the Rings trilogy. I created it to reflect the sea that Arwen Evenstar lost when she chose to remain in Middle Earth with Aragorn. The beauty of the sea she lost is captured in this hard to find 10.37 carat Iolite cabochon and its setting. The internal wisps in the cabochon even feel to me like wisps of seafoam. A fitting tribute to Arwen's sacrifice.

Materials Used to Create This Jewelry:
Genuine Iolite cabochon; and tarnish resistant .925 Argentium® Sterling Silver wire.
Included fine necklace chain is .925 Argentium® Sterling Silver.

Size: This pendant is approxiately 2.1" (54.3 mm) from the top of the bail. The bail will accommodate a chain of approximately 5.5 mm diameter. Included sterling silver necklace chain is approximately 16".

In alignment with the mystical lore associated with the stones, I created this jewelry with prayer and intent that the Divine bless this jewelry that the wearer be favored with the highest and best blessings of the Spirit.

Metaphysical, Mystical, & Spiritual Healing Properties Lore:

Iolite is popularly known as water sapphire, although it is not a type of sapphire at all. It is, however, one of the best stones to use in psychic, healing, and spiritual activities. It can open one to psychic talents and expand them, and is excellent for use on the 3rd eye and crown chakras. It was used in thin sheets by the ancient Vikings as a "lens" to see during their ocean voyages, as the world's first polarising filter, and is often known as the Viking stone. It is thus said that iolite can bring clear psychic vision. It can also enhance curiosity. It is also an excellent stone for meditation and astral travel. It helps one grow spiritually in a gentle fashion. Iolite is considered a very strong "Shaman" stone, and can stimulate visions. Argentium Silver is .925 sterling silver made with Germanium, rather than just the Silver and Copper that comprise traditional sterling silver. The germanium in the Argentium make this kind of sterling highly tarnish-resistant, at times seeming completely impervious to tarnish. Argentium Sterling Silver combines the energies of Germanium and Silver into a synthesis of essential energy that is strong, protective, and excellent for use in crystal healing.
